Another Set of Backstreet Art in Taiping

While the older sets of wall art or street murals in Taiping start to fade in terms of their colours and their attention from the public, another set of backstreet art emerges at the backstreets behind CIMB bank. It is the work of a school of art which is located above the CIMB bank.  The name of that place is N & G Art Gallery.  The teachers and students did the backstreet art based on their own imagination and using their own paints too.  All they did was to get permission from the owners of the premises to paint on their shutter-doors and walls.  Their work was indeed very refreshing as they put in a lot of brilliant colours.  However, being located in the backstreets, not many people knew of their existence !

A very Malaysian-theme artwork on the shutter-doors of the shops at the backstreet.

A very realistic looking door and windows on a back wall

All the doors are paintings

Art work on shutter-doors again.  Once the shops open, the artwork disappears

It is good to have so many young people involved in this project, for one day, they will feel great pride in their work that helps brighten up and beautify the town.  Their work is still on-going and they will add more paintings to that area.  I can only say, thank you to all the artistes and teachers for your artistic contribution.
